Faded

It was monsoon,
A rainy day,
She stood there,
Near the highway,
Waiting for someone,
With a bunch of orchid her hand,
Mixed feeling was readable,
And it started drizzling,
“Patience” was what she endured,
A cool breeze waved her short hair,
Her glasses was all drenched with water droplets,
The highway was silent,
Only the rain drops echoed all over,
Then the headlights turned on,
There was no sign of that someone,
The rain already made her wet,
And the darkness allotted,
But still she had some hope,
To fix the misunderstanding,
To get that prestige back,
To fill the gap of happiness,
Her hope faded away along with the rain,
It seemed nobody wanted them to be together,
It seemed she was hurt deep down,
The pain which was irrepressible,
The drizzling of the rain continued,
The fog lurked in slowly,
Even the flower which she was holding,
Bent down like her head did,
She knew it was too late to apologize,
Along with the darkness she prowled,
In that darkness all alone,
Who was that her?
Who was that someone?
It’s just me and my vibes,

Vibes that faded.

The Badge

After an exhausting week at college, I was making a to-do-list for the weekend. Room cleaning always comes first in my list because I always get a reminder from Papa to get it cleaned up so I always keep Saturday morning hours as a “DO NOT DISTURB , MY ROOM IS UNDER CLEAN-UP”. After sending good morning snaps and checking news feed, I was listening to upbeat music to get positive and happy energy and got ready with the cleaning essentials.                      While keeping the books in order from my messy study table into the book rack, I got my eye on a dusty box which was lying in a corner of that rack. With curiosity, I opened the box. There were few badges which I collected since middle school; badges for being both selected and elected as the monitor of my class. I gently wiped away the dust fr...

My cousins are SUPERHERO

“Rapacha.”            She came running towards the entrance gate of the venue. It was our relatives birthday party. I took my cousin sister, Naima along with me as I was staying over her house from the past few days.            As soon as we saw each other, we made one of those excited scream, hugging each other. Before few days my cousin showed up at my college, where I introduced her with Toshila, another cousin sister. I was happy to see three of us together on the party that evening, it was indeed a hectic week with tests and exams coming near and the entire struggle at college. I must say, it was like escaping life from fear, stress, and every bad thing that was happening. I still remember searching for you at college after seeing the student’s name list. I was not sure if we were cousins but I was excited to have someone from same cultural background. And later, I came to ...
